When looking for a jet ski to assist with surfing or wakeboarding, stability is going to be a key factor to consider.

Two models that are known for their stability and are great for towing surfers are the Yamaha VX Cruiser HO and the Sea-Doo GTI SE (there are plenty of others, but we've narrowed it down to two).

The Yamaha VX Cruiser HO is a top performer when it comes to surfing. Some of the pros of this jet ski include:

  • High-performance engine (4 stroke)
  • Reverse function for quick and easy pick ups in the surf
  • Wide, stable platform for standing and riding
  • Durable construction
  • Speed control (cruise control) for maintaining that perfect speed

However, it also has some cons such as:

  • Higher price point
  • May not be as manoeuvrable as some other models

The Sea-Doo GTI SE is another great option for towing surfers. Some of the pros of this jet ski include:

  • Large (and multiple) storage space for your gear, wetsuits towels etc
  • Available in 3-up seating configuration
  • Affordable price point
  • Easy-to-use controls

However, it also has some cons such as:

  • May not be as powerful as some other models
  • Not as durable as some other models (highly debatable)
  • Noise-Some users report the Sea Doo GTI to be louder than other models

It's always recommended to test drive different jet skis to find the best fit before making a purchase. And also keep in mind that while these models are known for their stability and suitability for towing surfers, it's always a good idea to check reviews and do research to find the one that best suits your needs.

There are a bunch of jet ski comparison websites online, it would be worth checking the reviews and in depth features on the various makes and models (or just head to your local dealer who will be more than happy to help you out).
